CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (Transformation & Fundraising)

Our company specializes in creating advanced end-to-end technological solutions, with an emphasis on data processing, using artificial intelligence and machine learning. The key domains we do data analysis are Marketing Data, Macro-Economic Trend Forecasting, Social Media, and other data sources.

CLEDAR is an AI-native enterprise intelligence platform built on an ontology-first architecture, originating from CERN-grade research and developed in collaboration with ETH Zurich. After 132% revenue growth over the last two years, the company is entering a pivotal phase: transitioning to a product-led, subscription model and preparing for its first institutional fundraising

We are seeking a transformation-focused CFO to architect and lead CLEDAR’s institutional fundraising (Series A/B) and subsequently own the company’s financial leadership alongside top-tier VC and growth investors. This is a defining role in shaping capital structure, governance, and long-term value creation — not an execution-only CFO position.

Key Responsibilities:

Institutional Fundraising & Capital Strategy

  • Design, structure, and lead a complex, multi-instrument institutional fundraising round, working directly with top-tier VC, growth equity, and institutional capital providers
  • Co-Lead the end-to-end fundraising process: investment narrative, financial modeling, diligence coordination, term negotiation, and closing
  • Act as the primary financial counterpart to institutional investors, ensuring credibility, rigor, and long-term alignment
  • Establish a capital strategy that balances growth acceleration, capital efficiency, and long-term shareholder value

Strategic Partnership with CEO & Board

  • Serve as a core strategic advisor to the CEO on growth strategy, capital allocation, organizational scaling, and long-term value creation
  • Translate the company strategy into a clear financial roadmap aligned with investor expectations and board governance standards
  • Lead board-level financial communication, decision support, and institutional reporting

Institutional-Grade Finance Leadership

  • Build and lead a best-in-class finance function suitable for a product-led, international enterprise software company
  • Implement robust FP&A, forecasting, and reporting frameworks that support subscription economics, unit-level transparency, and scalable decision-making
  • Oversee pricing strategy, unit economics, and product profitability as the company transitions toward recurring revenue dominance
  • Establish governance, controls, and financial discipline consistent with institutional ownership and future exit optionality

Investor Relations & Long-Term Positioning

  • Own ongoing investor relations with top-tier institutional shareholders post-financing
  • Create a disciplined communication cadence with investors, combining financial performance, strategic progress, and risk management
  • Position the company for future strategic options, including follow-on growth capital, M&A, or public market readiness

Requirements:

  • 15–20+ years of senior financial leadership experience, including substantial tenure as CFO within technology-driven or enterprise software organizations
  • Demonstrated success leading institutional fundraising rounds as CFO, with direct responsibility for process design, investor engagement, and execution
  • Deep familiarity with top-tier VC and growth equity investors in Europe and the Gulf region, supported by an established, trusted network
  • Proven ability to operate credibly with sophisticated boards, institutional shareholders, and external stakeholders
  • Track record of scaling finance organizations through periods of rapid growth, business model evolution, and increasing governance complexity
  • Strong international background with exposure to European capital markets and cross-border operations

What We Offer:

  • The opportunity to act as the financial architect of one of Europe’s most ambitious enterprise AI platforms
  • Executive-level influence over strategy, capital structure, M&A, and long-term value creation
  • A rare mandate to lead both a landmark institutional fundraising and the post-round financial evolution of the company
  • Equity participation (ESOP) is aligned with long-term value creation
  • Executive compensation with performance-based incentives
